Tech3 Racing’s Remy Gardner was 14th overall at the conclusion of this week’s three-day Jerez Moto2 test, setting his best lap-time on Tuesday.

Gardner’s fastest lap recorded of 1m42.272s was just three-tenths outside of the top five, while Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) ended the second test of the Moto2 season on top of the time-sheets at 1m40.926s.

“Overall, this test was quite positive,” Gardner said. “Yesterday I did my best lap-time. We tested a lot of things and found many positives after the last test.

“Although I have to admit that I was struggling bit today, I tried just too hard and wasn’t able to get a truly good lap together. Anyway, I feel like we are definitely one step closer to where we need to be for the first race in Qatar.”

Gardner will be back on track from 6-8 March at Jerez for the final test before the championship is set to commence just one week later in Doha, Qatar.

Meanwhile, in Moto3 Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) shot to the top of combined timesheets on day three ahead of Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) and Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) as the three Honda riders locked out the top.
