Milwaukee Aprilia’s Lorenzo Savadori shot to the top of the time-sheets in free practice two of the 2018 Motul Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) at Phillip Island.

Savadori’s 1m30.407s was three-tenths quicker than Leon Camier (Red Bull Honda), while second of the in-form Aprilias Eugene Laverty was third.

Former world champion Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) and Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing Ducati) were next in line – the final riders within the 1m30s bracket – with current title-holder Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) sixth.

The Australian contingent of Troy Herfoss (Penrite Honda Racing), Wayne Maxwell (Yamaha Racing Team) and Daniel Falzon (Yamaha Racing Team) were in positions 18 through 20 respectively.
