Gosford Classic Car Museum Yamaha-mounted privateer Michael Blair proved quickest in practice two of the 2018 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) presented by Motul Pirelli at Phillip Island.

As riders completed minimal laps in wet conditions, Blair’s 1m50.613s was enough to lead the way, ahead of Glenn Allerton (Next Gen Motorsports BMW) and Alex Phillis (Phillis Racing Suzuki).

New Zealander Mitchell Rees was fourth on his Carl Cox Motorsport Honda, as former Moto3 World Championship regular Arthur Sissis (Suzuki) climbed the order to fifth. A number of leading riders opted to remain pitted through the YMI Superbike session.

In Kawasaki Supersport it was Yamaha rookie Broc Pearson fastest from Max Croker (Suzuki) and Brendan Clarke (Kawasaki), while Max Stauffer (Yamaha) set the pace in both Supersport 300 and the YMF R3 Cup.
