Reigning Australian Supersport champion Ted Collins has been called in to replace the injured Michael Canducci for this weekend’s second round of the World Supersport Championship (WorldSSP) in Thailand.

Collins, who is currently riding for Next Gen Motorsports in the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), makes his world championship debut.

The addition of Collins to Team GoEleven Kawasaki sees him join countryman Lachlan Epis at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, riding a ZX-6R in a one-off appearance.

Collins has had a steady start to his Superbike career aboard a BMW S 1000 RR locally this season, capturing 16th at Phillip Island and 15th at Wakefield Park, currently P15 in the championship standings.
