A list of domestic and international motorcycling royalties made their way to Sydney Motorsport Park at the weekend to celebrate the 2018 QBE Insurance International Festival of Speed.

Alongside the major legends drawcard saw hundreds of classic bikes take to the circuit, complete with machines from the last century of motorcycle racing.

Three-time world superbike champion and current ASBK contender Troy Bayliss brought out his 2001 title-winning factory Ducati 996 RS, putting on an exceptional display for the delighted fans.

Fellow superbike world champion and former rival of Bayliss, Troy Corser, also took part in the Legends Clash aboard the current Desmosport Ducati 1299 Panigale R ASBK entry, while contesting the Period 5 division of the Superbike Shootout.

No stranger to classic machinery, Chris Vermuelen made an appearance aboard a Suzuki RGB500, as former British superbike ace Steve Parrish rode a race replica of his Suzuki RGB500 from 1977.

In amongst the legends parade was Kevin Magee piloting a replica Yamaha TZR500, while Italian Frankie Chili and Irishman Jeremy McWilliams were aboard Suzuki XR750 and Honda VTR SP1 machinery respectively. Renowned motorcycle journalist Alan Cathcart was also invited to the annual event, putting in a host of laps on a Honda RC45.
