Spanish MotoGP contender to undergo further evaluation in lead-up to round three.
Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa has undergone surgery on his right wrist after injuring it in a clash with Johann Zarco (Tech 3 Yamaha) on the opening lap of Arentina’s 23-lap affair at the weekend.
A 3D CT scan confirmed that Pedrosa suffered an intra-articular fracture of the right distal radius, which resulted in fracture reduction and internal fixation with a titanium screw.
The result of the operation was satisfactory, and the Spaniard will undergo an evaluation of his progress in 48 hours. If the results are positive, he will be able to begin his rehabilitation on Saturday.
Further evaluation of his injury will take place in the lead-up the Austin grand prix on 22 April to determine his attendance.
