Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team’s Jake Gagne will be the sole pilot of the factory-equipped CBR1000RR this weekend at the fourth round of the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) in Assen, The Netherlands, as teammate Leon Camier continues to recover from injuries sustained at Aragon.

The round essentially marks the home race for the Dutch squad, and with Gagne coming off his best weekend so far in the championship, he’s positive of pushing into the top 10.

“I’m really excited to get started in Assen,” said Gagne. “It’s nice to just have a few days off between races so me and the team can get straight back to work and continue the progress we made in Spain with the CBR1000RR and keep pushing towards the top 10.

“I got to ride the track a few weeks ago during our test so this will help us get in the zone quickly. It’s going to be a bummer not having Leon with us this weekend, I really hope he gets well soon and I’ll do my best to make him and the team proud.”

Camier suffered a fracture of the posterior ribs nine, 10 and 11 on his left side with a lung contusion in the opening affair at the Spanish round last weekend, sidelining him for an undetermined amount of time.
