Maintaining winning momentum the goal in 8 Hours of Oschersleben.
Australian Broc Parkes is anticipating a fresh range of tyre options from Bridgestone will provide a boost at the weekend’s fourth round of the FIM Endurance World Championship in Oschersleben, Germany.
The YART Yamaha Official EWC Team rider, who’s fresh off a breakthrough victory at the previous stop in Slovakia, is hopeful of maintaining momentum and ultimately stepping atop the podium at the conclusion of the eight-hour round.
“We want to carry our form from the last race and keep our momentum going after victory in Slovakia,” Parkes explained. “We really enjoy riding at this track and it is the team’s home race, which always makes it a great occasion.
“Bridgestone is bringing some new tyres for this circuit that they tested here last week, that are supposed to be an even bigger step than the tyre they brought last year, so we are excited. We understand the areas that we want to improve and we are confident we can go out and fight for another win.”
Following two DNFs to start the season, the YART squad is currently positioned 11th in the championship standings as just two rounds remain.
