Versatile Australian export Anthony West once again stole the show in round three of the 2018 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), going 3-1 at Suzuka to maintain his championship advantage.

Despite sitting out his home round in Australia last month, West proved his experience counts in Japan by riding his Webike Ikazuchi Racing Yamaha to another pair of important podium results.

The opening encounter was topped by Malaysian talent Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman (Manual Tech KYT Kawasaki Racing) ahead of teammate Ahmad Yudhistira and West, within half a second of the win. Race two saw West edge ahead on the final lap by 0.377s from Keminth Kubo (Yamaha Racing Team Asean) and Yudhistira, boosting him back into the points lead by 12 markers.

West’s schedule now sees him travel directly back to Europe for this weekend’s Brno round of the Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP), reverting back to his privateer EAB West Racing Kawasaki ZX-6R in The Netherlands.
