Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider Alex Marquez has tested the the new Triumph engine that will be used to power the Moto2 class from 2019 onwards at Aragon in Spain today.

Triumph’s 765cc three-cylinder engine requires a re-design of the chassis, with Kalex first testing the combination at the start of 2019 in Valencia.

Now though, it’s the turn of current Moto2 rider Marquez to put the Triumph-Kalex through its paces as preparations continue ahead of the 2019 season.

Yesterday, Julian Simon and Ricky Cardus tested the KTM-Triumph combination in Aragon, with Alex de Angelis testing the new engine for NTS and Jesko Raffin doing the same for Kalex.
