Yamaha Racing Team’s Daniel Falzon believes added aggression in his riding style will lead to a season-first victory as the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) return to action this weekend at Hidden Valley Raceway in the Northern Territory.

Falzon, who was third at The Bend’s previous round in South Australia, favours the Darwin circuit following success at the venue, ultimately providing a boost for the number 25.

“I’m heading to Darwin with the plan to win,” Falzon commented. “A bit more aggression on my behalf will help me take the win and putting my race plan into action will also give me the best chance to put my Yamaha on that top step.

“I know what I have to do at this circuit, I gel really well with the track and the atmosphere of Darwin is not like any other race track we have, it’s phenomenal and I love sharing success with the locals there.”

The South Australian-native claimed pole at Hidden Valley in 2017 before his weekend took a dramatic turn, crashing out the lead during race one, resulting in a damaged motorcycle that later caused issues for him in the final 17-lap affair.

Falzon is now ranked third in the 2018 championship standings, 17 points down on teammate Wayne Maxwell as four rounds remain in the seven stop series.
