The opening Australian Supersport 300 Championship race of the weekend in Darwin was a barn-burner this afternoon, as Tom Bramich rode his Yamaha to victory.

Current points-leader Bramich crossed the line 0.013s ahead of Cube Racing-supported pole-setter Oli Bayliss (Kawasaki), as Olly Simpson (Yamaha) completed the podium, just 0.065s from the win.

Nine riders went over the finish within a second of each-other, including Seth Crump (KTM), Zac Levy (Yamaha), Tayla Relph (Yamaha), Harry Khouri (Yamaha), Callum O’Brien (Yamaha) and Hunter Ford (Yamaha). The top 10 was completed by Max Stauffer (Yamaha), himself in a close battle for position.
