Australian Josh Hook believes complete focus from his F.C.C. TSR Honda France outfit will be key in securing the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours this weekend.

The three-man Honda squad currently leads the series standings by 10 points over defending champions GMT94 Yamaha, meaning mistakes will need to be kept to an absolute minimum despite an advantage.

“I am so looking forward to the Suzuka 8 Hours,” Hook stated. “It’s vital to make it as easy as possible for the three riders to race well, and reduce mistakes. I believe the bike will perform well at Suzuka, and the whole team will need to focus completely on the race.

“The bike, the team, and the riders will be united in racing at Suzuka. Being their home track, Honda and Thomas Suzuki-Rowe have had a lot of success at Suzuka, so I’m confident we can win the championship.”

The Suzuka 8 hours will see a host of Australians make the journey to Japan, including EWC regular Broc Parkes (YART) as well as current Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) leader Troy Herfoss (Honda Asia-Dream Racing).
