American PJ Jacobsen has been called in to replace Leon Camier in Honda Racing Corporation’s (HRC) factory team for this weekend’s Suzuka 8 Hours, the final round of the 2018 Endurance World Championship (EWC).

Jacobsen was initially slated to ride with the Musashi RT Harc-Pro Honda team, however the back injury of Camier sustained during testing has led to the World Superbike regular to join Red Bull Honda.

While Jacobsen will now partner Takumi Takahashi and Takaaki Nakagami on the official Honda entry in HRC’s return to the event, Musashi RT Harc-Pro Honda has drafted in Frenchman Randy de Puniet to ride alongside Moto2 contender Dominique Aegerter and JSB1000 championship racer Ryo Mizuno. Aegerter and De Puniet finished third last year with TSR Honda.
