MotoStars will become the new promoter of the Australian Junior Road Race Championship in a multi-year agreement with Motorcycling Australia (MA) that has been officially been announced.

Managed by longtime international Damian Cudlin, MotoStars was introduced late in 2016 and has largely strengthened the development of youthful road racing talent on a domestic level.

The AJRC will feature riders aged 11 to under 16 on 85cc two-stroke or up to 160cc four-stroke machinery. The AJRC will merge in with an expanded standalone MotoStars program, which will run over a two-day schedule per round. The multi-round calendar will feature full size tracks, as well as short course circuits.

“We are thrilled to promote the Australian Junior Road Race Championship with MotoStars and believe this mutual alliance with Motorcycling Australia will help in raising the profile of junior road racing to a whole new level in Australia,” Cudlin commented.

“MotoStars has gone from strength to strength in the last two years, and to gain the support and endorsement from Motorcycling Australia means our program will continue to grow and get more kids into the sport.”

Further information on the MotoStars program, including an extensive assortment of events and ride days, can be found via the official website at www.motostars.com.au. Additional details will be released by MA in due course.
