Positive steps for Team Suzuki ECSTAR Australia

Team Suzuki ECSTAR Australia press release:

Morgan Park, Queensland, plays host to the fifth installment of the 2018 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) where defending champion, Josh Waters is looking to re-instate himself on the top step of the podium, while Markus Chiodo continues to work at proving himself in the premier class.

Team Owner Dale Brede: “We had a great test in Morgan Park leading into this weekend’s racing. While we are still improving the package we take to the track each weekend, the team continues to move forward. Both Josh and Markus came back from racing overseas, and there’s a positive feeling in the garage. The GSX-R1000R is a great platform, and we need to keep working to give Josh and Markus everything they need to succeed.”

Josh Waters: “The test at Morgan Park was positive for sure, but we’re not quite there yet. I had the pace but we still have some work ahead of us to put the Suzuki back in front. The team is working hard, and so am I. I was on the podium here last year, and I want to be back on there again on Sunday afternoon.”

Markus Chiodo: “I’m comfortable heading into the weekend. The team is working to improve the bike, and I prove that, with every step forward we make as a team, I’m up to the challenge. My consistency and speed are improving every time I head out and I really want to keep that trend going on the weekend.”

Following the normal ASBK race schedule, Team Suzuki ECSTAR Australia will be on track for qualifying on Saturday, August 18, and racing at 11.30am and 1.45pm (AEST) on Sunday, August 19.
