Yamaha-mounted Tom Bramich has claimed victory in the Supersport 300 category in this weekend’s fifth round of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship at Morgan Park in Queensland.

Bramich narrowly edged out Hunter Ford (Yamaha) by one point for the top spot, the duo each taking a race victory amongst their varied results. The win has further strengthened Bramich’s points leaded, which now sees him 35 points clear.

Third was credited to Seth Crump (KTM), who captured victory in the second encounter, while fourth and fifth were awarded to Zac Levy (Yamaha) and Oli Bayliss (Cube Racing).

The roles were reversed in the Yamaha R3 Cup, this time with Ford stealing victory by a singular point over Bramich. Ford captured wins in the first two outings, however a fifth in race three saw him scrape into P1 in the overall results.

Locky Taylor (Yamaha) rounded out the top three, as points leader Levy and Harry Khouri (Yamaha) were fourth and fifth respectively in the day’s standings.

The GP Juniors Cup class, Joel Kelso (Yamaha) stood atop the podium with a 2-1-2 scorecard, comfortably defeating John Lytras (Yamaha) and Max Stauffer (Yamaha). Fourth through to sixth was completed by Glenn Nelson (Yamaha), Zylas Bunting (Yamaha) and Harrison Voight (Yamaha). Stauffer leads the class with a 17-point advantage.

The Australian Superbike Championship will now make its way to Winton Motor Raceway on 7-9 September for the penultimate round of the series.
