Yamaha Racing Team’s Daniel Falzon scored a pair of consistent fifth place results at Morgan Park’s fifth round of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), which comes as a satisfying recovery after crashing out during Saturday’s qualifying session.

The South Australian native, who completed his 50th Superbike start in race two, praised the factory squad for repairing his YZF-R1M contender, which he says was faultless during both outings at the Queensland venue.

β€œTo finish both races and still get consistent points is good for our championship,” Falzon commented. “I have to thank the crew at Yamaha Racing Team this weekend.

“They really did shine when repairing the bike after my accident on Saturday, to the point where I raced it today and had no issues with it, at all. The Yamaha YZF-R1M has proven to be a very good bike and I look forward to developing it further with the team throughout the rest of the year.”

Falzon’s 5-5 scorecard granted him fifth overall while also allowing him to maintain fourth in the championship rankings as just two rounds remain in the seven-stop series.
