Spaniard to undergo final medical evaluation in Italy.
It’s been confirmed that Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pol Espargaro will return to racing this weekend at Misano’s 13th round of the MotoGP World Championship, subject to a medical evaluation today.
The Spaniard suffered a heavy crash in during warm pp at the Czech grand prix, which resulted in a fractured collarbone and an inflamed spinal cord.
The KTM ace was left without feeling in his arms and legs immediately after the incident and despite the collarbone injury being better than first feared, meaning Espargaro didn’t require surgery, he remained in hospital for observation until the end of the week.
Despite missing a round, and with Silverstone’s cancellation playing into his favour, he currently sits 15th in the championship standings.
