Romano Fenati (Marinelli Rivacold Snipers) and Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing Team) have both received sanctions for inappropriate riding behaviour in two seperate incidents between each other at yesterday’s Misano grand prix in the Moto2 category.

Fenati was shown the black flag and disqualified from the 25-lap encounter for irresponsible riding that saw him trigger Manzi’s front brake down a straight in retaliation to an earlier clash.

The MotoGP stewards decided to suspend Fenati from the next two grand prix following the offence, which was deemed serious. The penalty applies to the rider only and not the team, leaving the door open for a replacement to fulfil his vacant position.

Manzi also received a penalty of six grid positions at his next race for irresponsible riding during an incident at turn four. The next stop on the Moto2 World Championship calendar is scheduled for 23 September at Aragon in Spain.
