Canepa joins the Australian for 2018-2019 championship assault.
Following a difficult and challenging 2017-2018 campaign, Australian Broc Parkes has found renewed confidence in his YART Yamaha Official EWC Team ahead of the season-opening round of the 2018-2019 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) this weekend in France.
Parkes will once again be joined by team regular Marvin Fritz as Niccolò Canepa joins the squad, while a shuffle in crew members has boosted morale within the outfit.
“The bike’s working really well and the whole team are coming together nicely,” Parkes explained. “The Bridgestones are performing well and look good for the race. We’ve had a couple of minor changes in the pit team which mean we’re working even better in the box.
“Niccolò coming on board has been excellent so far and he brings some great experience with him and the three of us are working really well together so far. We’re all excited for the race and feeling like we’re the team to beat, which is a perfect position to be in.”
YART scored points in just one round last year at Slovakia where they emerged victorious. The first stop of EWC will be the Bol d’Or 24 hours this Saturday and Sunday.
