Kawasaki has announced the release of its all-new entry-level Ninja 125 and Z125 models at Intermot in Cologne, Germany, this week.

The new learner friendly Ninja 125 is not simply the first step on the Ninja road, it also displays Kawasaki trademark engineering quality from the Ninja H2 trellis style frame to the sleek Kawasaki Racing Team inspired bodywork.

With its responsive 15PS (11kW) engine tuned for low to mid-range flexibility plus characteristic Ninja top end thrills, the Ninja 125 is a great way to say hello to Kawasaki and start enjoying the thrills of motorcycling.

A 37 mm telescopic fork contributes to both light, nimble handling as well as a generally composed riding character. Kawasaki’s original linkage-equipped Uni Trak rear suspension delivers a smooth ride over a wide range of road conditions.

Uni Trak rear suspension provides great road holding ability and bump absorption, contributing to the bike’s sporty handling. The shock linkage decreases leverage on the shock as the suspension is compressed: small bumps are damped very lightly while big bumps receive lots of damping.

The shock has a five stroke of 60 mm, helping to ensure the balance of lightweight handling and a composed character. 5-way rear preload adjustability allows riders to adjust the rear ride height, as well as set up the bike to accommodate a passenger or luggage.

Smooth power delivery contributes to the Ninja 125’s 125cm3 engine’s feel-good performance. Like a typical Kawasaki engine, the engine delivers a good punch at high rpm, and continues to pull right up to the rev limiter. Reliability inherited from its robust 250cc base engine adds peace of mind.

A smooth-shifting six-speed transmission complements the sporty street performance, offering a gear for every situation, while an electric starter and fuel injection ensure hassle-free starting at the push of a button.

Based off the Ninja 125, the Z125 model is welcomed addition to the iconic Z family. Kawasaki’s unique Sugomi design philosophy for all to see, the smallest in the Z family is here to be noticed and make a profound naked bike statement.

The exposed trellis type chassis blends with minimal and aggressive Z bodywork encouraging spirited riding from the learner friendly powerplant that is both new-rider and as sporting as you would expect from Kawasaki.

Kawasaki also unveiled its 2019 Ninja H2 at the show, revealing the powerhouse 998cc supercharged inline four model will be creating even more power for next year. The increased power comes from adopting many characteristics of the H2 SX spec bike, including the air filter, intake chamber, spark plugs and ECU. The bike is stated to now produce 227bhp.

Pricing and availability in Australia is yet to be determined. For more information, visit www.kawasaki.com.au.
