Australian Remy Gardner is set to remain in the Moto2 World Championship for an additional two years after signing a new deal with the SAG Racing Team.

Gardner, who’s spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with Tech3 Racing, will be joined by Japanese ace Tetsuta Nagashima at the Spanish squad for the two-year duration.

“I’m very happy to be part of the SAG Racing Team for the next two seasons,” Gardner commented in a statement. “We will work very hard to get the best results. I hope to make a good preseason this winter and get to know the team to start the best possible way.”

Gardner has experienced one of his most successful campaigns in the intermediate category after making his debut in 2016, despite breaking both of his legs in a motocross accident earlier this year.

The international talent recorded a career-best result of sixth at the grand prix of Argentina, while he landed on the front row at the British grand prix, which was later cancelled due to a washout of conditions. He currently sits 17th in the championship rankings with 28 points to his name.
