ASBK regular Josh Waters has set a target of claiming victory in the Superstock category this weekend at the 2019 Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan, as he contests event alongside Nob Aoki and Dan Linfoot with Team MotoMap SWAT.

Waters, who finished fourth in class and 23rd overall with the Suzuki squad in 2018, is set to embark on his ninth-consecutive appearance at the prestigious endurance event.

“We’re competing in the Superstock class this year, so we’d love to win that and inish between 10th and 15th, or maybe even get inside the top 10 [overall] – that would be pretty cool,” Waters explained to CycleOnline.com.au.

“I really enjoy riding around Suzuka, so the thing I expect out of myself is to do good runs, be consistent and I’d like to go good in qualifying too.”

Waters will be joined by fellow Australians and Endurance World Championship (EWC) regulars Josh Hook (F.C.C TSR Honda France) and Broc Parkes (YART), as well as reigning ASBK champion Troy Herfoss (KYB Moriwaki Racing).
