Cube Racing heads to Winton Raceway

Cube Racing press release:

The Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) fires back into life this weekend at the Winton Motor Raceway, approximately 200km north-east of Melbourne, where Cube Racing’s Oli Bayliss and Avalon Biddle will continue their battle for the SuperSport 600 championship.

Oli Bayliss: “It feels like forever since we’ve raced ASBK! In testing I was really consistent and I’m happy with the position it puts us in this weekend. After riding at Winton for the test, we went down to Phillip Island where I raced a round of the Victorian State Titles and won the Hughie Hoare Trophy. It’s always good to race, rather than just chase a lap time, so now I’m just looking forward to getting on the bike again this weekend and racing!”

Avalon Biddle: “I’m feeling really good heading into this weekend. I’ve spent some time with the team, I’ve done some racing and I’ve had a quick holiday in the gap between rounds, and all of that’s left me feeling relaxed and really excited to go racing. This is my third round of the year in the ASBK and although it hasn’t all gone my way, I’ve got a lot of confidence that I have the pace to run with the front group, and I plan on showing that this weekend.”

Team Owner, Ben Henry: “The team tested well here a few weeks ago. Oli and Glen are working well together, and so are Geoff and Avalon. The break was an opportunity to test some settings on the R6 and really just regroup before we push into the final three rounds. Winton can be a challenging track, with a lot of fast, sweeping rights, that actually takes a toll on both sides of the tyre once you get through all 12 turns. It’s a fast track, but I think we’ll see strong results from both riders this weekend.”
