Staring secures sixth in ASBK championship

Ficeda Accessories press release:

The 2019 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) has concluded over the weekend at Sydney MotorSport Park with BCperformance Kawasaki Racing Team lead rider Bryan Staring finishing the season sixth overall in a tough battle for the podium.

BCperformance Kawasaki Racing Team Superbike rider, Bryan Staring: “This weekend was a return to form after a tough round at Phillip Island a few weeks ago. I narrowly missed the podium in race one (by 0.014), and, putting in lap times just as fast as the guys leading in race two, pushed my way through the field to fourth before putting the bike down challenging for third with a few laps to go. It shows that we had the potential to be in the mix all year. Although we had a solid plan to play to our strengths this year, we narrowly missed on our execution and we go home sixth in the championship standings.”

Dunlop Motorsport Manager, Robbie Bugden: “I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved this year. The racing has been incredible in 2019, with so many riders capable of winning races. Obviously, the highlight for us was Bryan’s triple race victory at The Bend, a track where tyre choice was critical, but overall it was great to re-establish Dunlop’s presence in the championship. Dunlop has a strong history in racing, and we want to continue to bring products to the market that excel at the highest level. The KR109 MS-3 front proved time and time again to be incredible, and we were able to introduce both the KR108 MS-1 and MS-0 rears to help give our riders the best opportunity on track. Thank you to the entire BCperformance team for working so hard with us all season. We can’t wait for 2020!”

Although the ASBK season is over, the Dunlop technical team will continue to work tirelessly to prepare and be ready to offer the best advice for all our Dunlop-supported riders for the remainder of 2019 to be in the best possible position going into ASBK 2020.
