JW Racing press release:

Josh Waters opened the scoring for the all-new Mildura based JW Racing independent team with a strong third place finish at Phillip Island over the weekend.

With the first free practice session for the team on Thursday, Waters felt comfortable early and had already expressed confidence going forward.

Locking in a solid Qualifying time at the Phillip Island Circuit on the Friday, The JW Racing team showed massive potential being only their first race weekend as an independent team.

Races one and two were held on the Saturday at the hallowed circuit where Waters would again nail a third place finish in race one and a sixth place in race number two.

Leading into the final race on Sunday, a quick start would see Josh again snare the third place spot and ride it home to a third place overall for the weekend.

Amongst a strong field of factory teams, the up and coming JW Racing team, and rider, Josh Waters kicked it right into high gear early.

Josh is ecstatic about the result and looks forward to an exciting rest of the Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship.

Waters said,

“It’s really good to get the results we needed early and the bike felt great, obviously the racing isn’t going to get any easier from here, but we are ready for it”.

The next round of the Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship will be at Wakefield Park Raceway, NSW on March 27-29. Waters heads into round 2 sitting in a comfortable third place in points.
