Queenslander Jack Miller will miss the upcoming Ducati Lenevo Team launch presentation due to contracting covid-19, currently isolating at home in Australia after testing positive.

Miller, 27, was due to attend the team’s official introduction on 28 January, now postponing his trip back to Europe until the virus has passed and travel restrictions will permit him to depart.

“Unfortunately, as you can tell, I’m still here at home in Australia due to testing positive for ‘corona’,” Miller announced. “I am currently unable to travel and will miss the team presentation.

“Just wanted to let you know I’m doing fine – no symptoms – and am still able to continue on with my training on the farm, just unable to travel at this point in time.”

With just over two weeks up his sleeve, Miller’s first outing for 2022 is scheduled to be at the Sepang pre-season test, taking place on 5-6 February in Malaysia.
