A strong pre-season ahead of the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) has F.C.C TSR Honda France’s Josh Hook in a position to challenge for the title this year.

The 2017-2018 EWC champion will partner Mike de Meglio and Gino Rea this season, and by all accounts the trio are on track for a competitive weekend to open their 2022 campaign at the 24 Heuros Moto at Le Mans.

“We’ve made a massive step this season with the chassis and also the tyres from Bridgestone,” Hook explained. “So far we’re in a better position than what we were this time last year so I’m really looking forward to the Le Mans race and to see what we can do. I’m happy with how everything went [during testing], big thanks to the team, they’ve done a very good job.”

Aside from testing duties ahead of the 2022 EWC, Hook also returned to Australia in the off-season and competed in the final round of the 2021 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship at The Bend with Penrite Honda Racing.

Set to commence this Saturday, the opening round of EWC this year will be contested on the Bugatti Circuit, and marks the first stop of the five-round series.
