Australian MotoGP contender Jack Miller will return to domestic competition for the final round of the 2022 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) at The Bend.

Miller made a competitive ASBK appearance last year in South Australia, riding a V4 R with assistance from the DesmoSport Ducati Team.

He competed on a machine that was not up to full ASBK specification, notably restricted from using the full race kit ECU to ensure no breach of MotoGP testing regulations. Despite no prior knowledge of the Tailem Bend venue, Miller qualified second and finished third in race two and is excited to return again this year on 25-27 November.

“I am looking forward to heading back to Adelaide to race in the Australian Superbike Championship event at The Bend in November!” said Miller. “I had a heap of fun with my friends and family last year and can’t wait to do it all over again.”

Miller has confirmed support from sponsor Caterpillar for the event and will race on a Ducati V4 R once more for round seven of the 2022 series, not fully equipped. He will have the benefit of knowing The Bend circuit this time around, while it is unclear if he will compete on Michelin rubber as he did last year.

The number 43 is currently fifth in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship standings, enjoying an excellent run of form with three podiums from the last four races.
