The line-up of the RNF MotoGP Team has been confirmed for the next two years, with Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez to ride Aprilia RS-GPs from 2023.

It means the outfit will have two new riders following the conclusion of this season, with Andrea Dovizioso to retire after Misano and premier class rookie Darryn Binder effectively in search of a seat, expected to step down to Moto2.

Oliveira made his MotoGP debut in 2019 after achieving victories in both smaller classes, and has four premier class wins. Fernandez stepped to MotoGP for 2022 with Tech3 KTM Factory Racing after an impressive Moto2 rookie season last year, finishing runner-up to teammate Remy Gardner.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez to the WithU RNF MotoGP Team from 2023,” said founder and team principal of the WithU RNF MotoGP Team Razlan Razali.

“It has not been a simple process, but together with Aprilia, we are very clear on the riders that we wanted. They are both young riders with a good combination of experience coming from Miguel and Raul who I’m personally a fan of since he shocked the Moto2 category last year to become vice-champion. To finally secure him, is fantastic.

“Both, Aprilia and we believe in the talent of both riders, so we can’t wait for them to ride for us next season!”

The announcement silences rumours of an Oliveira move to Tech3 next year with GasGas, reportedly turning down a multi-year contract in favour of the RNF opportunity. Moto2 rider Augusto Fernandez is expected to be promoted to MotoGP with Herve Poncharal’s squad from 2023.

Just four seats on the MotoGP grid remain unconfirmed for next season, with LCR Honda and Tech3 yet to announce who will pair Alex Rins and Pol Espargaro, and the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, to date, not formally revealing its riders past the current series.

After 13 rounds of the 2022 MotoGP World Championship, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Oliveira is 10th in the points standings, Fernandez P24. The series resumes this weekend at Misano for the San Marino GP.
