Two-time British Superbike (BSB) champion Josh Brookes will switch to FHO Racing for 2023 and compete on BMW machinery alongside Peter Hickman in the team.

Brookes has 54 BSB race wins and 147 podiums alongside the 2015 and 2020 titles to his credit and brings a wealth of experience having raced in British and World Championships, also contesting events such as the Isle of Man TT and North-West 200 on the roads.

Despite his immense BSB success, 2022 has been a challenging campaign for Brookes with MCE Ducati as the Australian failed to make the Showdown for the first time in his career. With his multi-year stint onboard the Ducati V4R coming to an end, the FHO opportunity provides Brookes with a fresh start.

“I’m really excited about joining the FHO Racing team for 2023,” Brookes explained. “It’s probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the paddock but now it’s out there, I can finally start looking ahead to next season with genuine excitement.

“Each year in BSB my target has been to race for wins and improve and I know the FHO Racing team offers me the best opportunity to do that. Faye [Ho] and Peter have already demonstrated the potential of the team and I feel that’s only going to grow further next season.”

“I would like to thank Faye for giving me this opportunity. I can head into the off-season knowing that I’m set for a really positive 2023. The ingredients are all there to go fast and win races and this is what motivates me to keep racing.”

The final round of the 2022 BSB Championship takes place this weekend at Brands Hatch, with Brookes P14 in the standings entering the remaining three races.
