Youthful Australian talent Harrison Voight has confirmed plans for season 2023 and will make the step to Moto2 in the European championship with the Yamaha Philippines Stylobike Racing Team.

Voight, 16, is contesting the JuniorGP World Championship with SIC58 Squadra Corse and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBRC) this year, achieving a podium finish in race one at the Sachsenring.

He has overcome multiple injury setbacks to reach his current level and was given the opportunity to wildcard with Paolo Simoncelli’s team in the Moto3 World Championship round at Misano, where he finished the 23-lap bout a commendable P23 on debut. One round remains in both JuniorGP and RBRC at Valencia before Voight graduates to the bigger machine.

“For 2023 I’ll be making the step up to the Moto2 class in the FIM CEV Moto2 Championship with Team Stylobike,” Voight shared. “To change categories didn’t come with ease although I feel this is a correct step for my future and goals.”

Voight is also set to return home and contest Supersport for the final round of this year’s Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) at The Bend as part of Jack Miller’s squad on 25-27 November.
