Night sessions to feature at SMSP pre-season test

With Sydney Motorsport Park set to light up the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) in March, it has been confirmed that night sessions will take place during next month’s pre-season test at the venue.

The two-day test spanning 1-2 February officially commences the 2023 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship calendar, with track time for day one commencing on the Wednesday afternoon.

To conclude the opening day of testing, Superbike riders will complete two sessions and the support classes one under the lights as part of preparation ahead of the historic event on 24-25 March that will see ASBK’s first-ever night race.

The second day of the test will take place during the day, with four sessions for each class between 8:45am and 4:10pm. In addition to the upcoming pre-season test at SMSP, many top domestic riders have been using the St George Summer Night Series races at the Sydney circuit to best prepare for the conditions and upcoming ASBK rounds. A full schedule for the 2023 ASBK pre-season test is listed below.
