The Maco Racing Team has confirmed the continuation of Anthony West in the Endurance World Championship (EWC) for 2023, set to compete onboard a Yamaha R1 once more.

West represented the outfit throughout the EWC last year, notably receiving the Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit Trophy alongside teammate Enzo Boulom in the Le Mans 24 Hour.

In addition to his Endurance commitments, West also competed in the 2022 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) with MotoGo Yamaha, but for 2023 has indicated he will not be racing national superbikes due to a lack of sponsorship.

Joining West in the Maco Racing Team this year will be Boulom again, and Hungarian youngster Bálint Kovács after impressing during last September’s Bol d’Or as a late addition to its ranks.

The first round of the 2023 Endurance World Championship is the 24 Heures Motos, taking place at Le Mans, France between 15-16 April.
