Former Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP) racer Lachlan Epis will contest the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) in 2023, officially confirmed to line-up with Evolution Sports Group this year onboard a BMW litre-bike.

Epis boasts a wealth of international experience with his competitive exposure including seasons in WorldSSP, WorldSSP 300 races, also select international appearances on a superbike in the WorldSBK, BSB and ARRC paddocks.

Recent Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship campaigns have seen the 23-year-old compete with BMW Alliance Racing, with support from Evolution Sports Group general manager Nathan Webb and will now venture overseas with the outfit for 2023.

“I’m very excited to be staying with ESG as we take on the ARRC,” Epis explained. I’ve been with and around the guys since before I started my career and I’m grateful to be able to take this next step with them. I have felt more at home on a BMW over the past 2 years than I have on any other manufacturer and I’m very happy to onboard the new 23 M 1000 RR for this year.

“I did a round of the series in 2019 so the series is not a complete unknown for me and I’m looking forward to showing the gains I’ve made in my riding and preparation since. We’ve had the perfect preseason leading up to round 1 and I’m itching to get the racing started!”

Epis is also confirmed on the entry list for round one of ASBK this year, commencing at Phillip Island next weekend between 24-26 February.
