Australian Levi Day has been named in the 2023 Endurance World Championship (EWC) line-up of ADSS97 Kawasaki, set to compete in the iconic 24-hour events at Le Mans, the Bol d’Or and Spa-Francorchamps as part of his commitments for the upcoming season.

Day has spent an extended tenure competing abroad in the British Superbike Championship (BSB) paddock, and his most recent season was in the National Superstock category where he finished P10 in the standings last year with Powerslide Motorcycles Racing Suzuki.

Having competed in eight-hour events in both Japan and Portugal previously, the opportunity will see Day join team owner, also rider Chris Platt, former Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) race-winner Chris Walker and reserve Craig Currie to contest his maiden 24-hour races onboard the squad’s Superstock-specification ZX-10R.

“I’ve had the pleasure of doing Suzuka and an eight-hour at Estoril a few years ago, so doing the three 24-hour races this year really excites me,” Day explained.” It will be something very different to what I’m used to, but I will be working hard to do the best for the team, and I’m looking forward to teaming up with Chris Platt and Chris Walker on the ZX-10R and working together with the team to do our very best. There is a great crew involved, and I’m excited.”

The opening round of the 2023 Endurance World Championship is the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans, France between 13-16 April.
