Gotzinger Smallgoods has partnered with McMartin Racing as its title sponsor for the third round of the 2023 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship, with the team to be titled McMartin Racing Gotzinger Ducati this weekend at Queensland Raceway.

The outfit ran without a naming rights partner for the opening two rounds this season with team owner Craig McMartin confirming the deal with Gotzinger as the title sponsor is currently a single round for this weekend’s event in Queensland.

“We are pretty luck Gotzinger come onboard for the Queensland round, they are a local company up here and their head office is in Queensland,” McMartin explained to CycleOnline.com.au. “We were quite fortunate to have them come onboard for the Queensland Raceway round. Good company, great people so hopefully we can win some races for them.”

It has been a commanding start for the team in the 2023 season with Josh Waters taking five from five wins to open this year’s campaign. He leads the Superbike standings by 35 points ahead of Penrite Honda Racing’s Troy Herfoss after two rounds and was third fastest in FP1 this morning at Queensland Raceway with a time of 1m08.533s.
