Australia’s Jack Miller is celebrating a double podium weekend at Jerez, with third position in Sunday’s grand prix marking another milestone since joining Red Bull KTM for the 2023 season.

Miller was in the mix in Saturday’s Sprint on his way to P3 – the race won by teammate Brad Binder – and then backed that up on Sunday with a top-three finish after leading his share of laps. Now, the next challenge is to continue with the same front-running form into the mid-season.

It signals a further step in the development of the factory RC16 as both Miller and Binder were on the podium in the GP won by defending world champion Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).

“I had to work for that one today!” Miller reflected, now climbing to fourth in the world championship standings following the opening four rounds. “I had a great start and, like most of the boys, I was struggling with the right side of the tyre by mid-race.

“I don’t quite know how, but we started putting in some really fast laps at the end and I just couldn’t quite close up to two in front. Brad rode awesome, so did Pecco, there was some fun racing going on and I’m stoked to be a part of it and put Red Bull KTM up here again. It’s an amazing feeling and I hope we are here to stay.”

KTM Factory Racing will carry out further work on Monday in the official one-day test at the famed Spanish circuit, before the 2023 MotoGP World Championship season then travels to Le Mans, France, between 12-14 May.
