Wickham Freight Lines has partnered with McMartin Racing as a title sponsor for the fifth round of the 2023 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), with the outfit to be called Wickham Freight Lines with K-tech McMartin Racing at Morgan Park.

The outfit ran without a naming rights partner for the opening two rounds this season, before partnering with Gotzinger Smallgoods for rounds three and four.

Wickham Freight Lines is a family-owned and operated transport company, specialising in a variety of freight tasks to support logistics supply chains across Australia, with multiple terminals on the east coast of Australia, including Warwick. They join the championship-leading McMartin team for the Morgan Park round.

“For this weekend we are really lucky to have Wickham Freight Lines, which is a local business to Morgan Park or Warwick here,” McMartin Racing team owner Craig McMartin said to CycleOnline.com.au. “They are an east coast freight company with depots here, Sydney, Melbourne etc.

“One of our other sponsors knows them quite well, we got together with them and had a good chat and they were really keen to come onboard for the Morgan Park round. It’s just at this point for the single round, and we are really fortunate and grateful that they decided to come on board with us for this round.”

Team rider Josh Waters currently holds an eight-point lead in the 2023 championship standings and was fifth fastest in practice yesterday as round five commenced in Warwick.
