European Moto2 Championship leader Senna Agius will return to the Moto2 World Championship this weekend at Motegi, Japan, as the fill-in for the injured Lukas Tulovic.

Tulovic crashed in FP3 in India last time out and broke his collarbone, with Agius called in for the upcoming Japanese GP in what will be his fourth world championship appearance of the 2023 season with the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP team.

Racing for the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP Junior Team, Agius has won all but one of the races he has started in the European Championship this year.

His best result in the world championship to date came at Valencia in 2022 where he was ninth while filling in for Sam Lowes at the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team.
