Longtime international Anthony West is set to compete in New Zealand for the first time, making an entry in the New Zealand Superbike Championship (NZSBK) with the Addicted to Track Yamaha team.

West competes for the Addicted to Track effort in the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), and boasts a wealth of experience in various championships on the international stage.

The 42-year-old will also contest the Suzuki International Series, with the first two rounds also marking the opening two stops of the NZSBK calendar, with the six-round national championship spanning for the opener at Taupo – between 2-3 December – and round six at Hampton Downs on 2-3 March.

“Excited to announce I’ll be racing the New Zealand SBK championship over the summertime,”said West. “It’s going to be a new experience for me as it will be my first time in NZ. I have raced In over 30 countries around the world but never in the country that is closest to Australia so I really looking forward to it.”

Prior to West’s New Zealand ventures, one round remains in the 2023 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship, the season finals set to be contested at The Bend on 1-3 December.
