GYTR GRT Yamaha’s Remy Gardner posted the fastest lap time on both days of the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) post-season test at Jerez, as select riders debuted with their new teams ahead of 2024.

Gardner’s best effort of a 1m38.448s came on day two, which was two-tenths quicker than Alvaro Bautista’s (Aruba. It Ducati) pole time from the weekend.

It placed him 0.278s clear of Supersport World champion Nicolo Bulega, who impressed as he stepped up to the premier class platform with Aruba. It Ducati.

A late 1m39.179s from Jonathan Rea saw the multi-time WorldSBK champion complete his first test with the Pata Yamaha team in third, ahead of Kawasaki Racing Team’s Alex Lowes and the returning Andrea Iannone (Go Eleven Ducati) inside the top five.

In P6 was Motocorsa Racing’s Michael Rinaldi, ahead of champion Bautista who focused exclusively on the 2024 set-up and regulations throughout the outing.

Bradley Ray, Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha) and Scott Redding (Bonovo Action BMW) completed the top 10, as Kawasaki Racing Team newcomer Axel Bassani finished Wednesday 12th.

Notably, Toprak Razgatlioglu was absent from the test and did not make his debut with the factory BMW effort at Jerez, while Adrian Huertas was the official quickest rider of WorldSSP competitors in attendance.
