Youthful Australian Jacob Roulstone will be GasGas-mounted in his rookie Moto3 World Championship campaign following the announcement of Tech3’s transition from KTM.

The transfer to GasGas machinery will see the outfit’s Moto3 effort align with its MotoGP team, adopting the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 name and striking red livery.

While the move is primarily a visual change, the highly successful squad will still be headed up by Herve Poncharal, who is buoyed by the signing of Roulstone ahead of his maiden Moto3 season.

“We have an exciting Australian rookie, Jacob Roulstone, who joined us at the Valencia test in November,” Poncharal stated. “He had a positive first day with the team, and I know that he will use both Portimao and Jerez tests to arrive prepared and ready to go for his first season in Moto3. The start of the season cannot come soon enough.”

Roulstone’s signing with Tech3 was made official in September last year after a successful stint in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookie Cup, securing fifth in the series standings before finishing seventh in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship with Aspar Junior Team.

The teenager will join experienced Moto3 contender Daniel Holgado at Tech3 this year, the Spaniard earning a top five position in the 2023 championship classification.
