The ongoing inclusion of Troy Herfoss (DesmoSport Ducati) and Harrison Voight (McMartin Racing) will boost round two of the 2024 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) this weekend, set to be staged under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Ducati-mounted duo were third and second overall respectively at the Phillip Island’s season-opener last month, although with both riders committed to international campaigns, it was unclear where and when we would see each of them back in ASBK.

Reigning Superbike champion Herfoss has just returned from his maiden MotoAmerica outing in the King of the Baggers and Super Hooligan categories, where he finished P2 overall across both classes in Daytona.

“Racing in Daytona was such an incredible experience,” Herfoss reflected. “All of Bike Week really was just insane. Charlie and I had a lot to learn going into the weekend, but I’m happy with my results there too and I’m really looking forward to getting back together with the team for the next round at the start of April.

“It’s been an amazing few weeks, that’s for sure. And I’m just excited to keep racing, so I spoke to Ben [Henry] again when I got home and the bikes still there for me, so I’m in for Sydney.”

Teenager Voight, who made a stunning premier class debut at Phillip Island, has also featured overseas since round one, recently testing in Italy for the upcoming European Moto2 Championship.
