Current Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) leader Josh Waters has confirmed he will return to the Suzuka 8 Hours this year with Ducati Team Kagayama, set to be staged on 21 July.

Waters, a two-time runner-up at the staple endurance event in Japan, will join Ryo Mizuno and former MotoGP and WorldSBK regular Hafizh Syahrin in an official Ducati effort aboard the Panigale V4 R.

The McMartin Racing rider will be looking to bounce back from a challenging showing in 2023, where a wrist injury later derailed his bid for a fourth ASBK crown.

The 37-year-old is set to be joined by fellow Australian Superbike contender Anthony West, who’ll line up with the AutoRace UBE Racing Team, while two-time EWC champion Josh Hook will be on the grid as part of his FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) with TSR Honda.
