It’s been revealed Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) contender Paris Hardwick will switch from BCpeformance Kawasaki to MotoGo Yamaha for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old initially joined the Kawasaki squad in 2023, however just 18 months later, that partnership has come to a close in what is understood to be a mutual decision to part ways.

After several years aboard Kawasaki machinery, Hardwick will now transfer to the dealer-based MotoGo Yamaha outfit, joining former ASBK champion Bryan Staring for the remaining four rounds of the championship.

The New South Welshman is set to get his first taste of the YZF-R1M this week in a shakedown test at Sydney Motorsport Park before making his debut in blue at Morgan Park’s fourth round in Queensland next week.

Hardwick is currently ranked 15th in the championship standings, his best finish coming at Phillip Island’s season-opener where he was 12th overall. It’s understood BCperformance Kawasaki won’t seek a replacement for Hardwick in favour of solely focusing on Supersport entry Hayden Nelson.
