Australian denies rumours of a move to Ducati WorldSBK team.
North Queenslander Jack Miller has confessed that he has nothing on the table for the 2025 season at this point, signalling that he ‘could be going home next year’ unless a suitable career lifeline surfaces at the 11th hour of this current silly season.
Miller, 29, has been dumped by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing following a trying two-year stint in orange, which had led to him being linked to Pramac Racing and Trackhouse over the summer break.
None of those satellite-type deals have eventuated, however, with Miller appearing to be on the outside looking in and his grand prix career on the brink after almost a decade in the premier class. It’s a tough position for the four-time MotoGP race winner, who race to a career-best of fourth in the world championship with Ducati in 2021.
“Nah, nothing here or there,” said Miller when asked about his future in MotoGP. “I could be going home next year, so it is what it is.”
Miller has been widely speculated to be in discussions with Aruba.it Ducati to move across to the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) for 2025 in what what mark a reunion of sorts with the Italian manufacturer, but he says that too isn’t a possibility that he’s aware of.
“There’s also nothing there – it’s all rumours,” he added. “I don’t know where they’re coming from, but I ain’t leaking them. There’s no piece of paper been sent my way and my phone hasn’t called.”
If Miller is bumped from the MotoGP grid altogether it would lead the sport’s premier category without an Australian in the field, which would be the first time in over three decades that the nation hasn’t had a full-time entry. Senna Agius is expected to continue in Moto2, while Jacob Roulstone and Joel Kelso remaining in Moto3, while Remy Gardner has been flying the flag solo on the WorldSBK grid in recent seasons.
