Reigning champion Troy Herfoss will headline a selection of additional entries for this weekend’s Mi-bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) finale at The Bend, boosting an injury-hit grid following the withdrawal of several premier class regulars.

Herfoss will return to his DesmoSport Ducati after recently securing the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers title, marking his first appearance since Queensland Raceway’s third round while also serving as a final opportunity to sport the number one plate.

Two-time Supersport champion Tom Toparis (Stop and Seal Racing) will also make his return to racing after suffering frightening high-side at Morgan Park back in July, however, he will step up to the Superbike category.

The ASBK grid will be without a number of premier class favourites, with Cru Halliday (Yamaha Racing Team), Glenn Allerton (GT Racing), and retiring Bryan Staring (Motogo Yamaha) all sidelined with injuries sustained at One Raceway.

The Supersport 300 category will also be strengthened by some familiar faces, with Cameron Swain (Yamaha) returning after a European campaign in the bLU cRU r3 World Cup alongside Asia Talent Cup contenders Archie Schmidt (Kawasaki) and Rikki Henry (Yamaha).
