Motoschool Racing Team rider Tom Edwards has confirmed he will skip this weekend’s third round of the 2025 Mi-Bike Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) at Queensland Raceway, with the team’s R1 not race-ready due to unforeseen circumstances.

Edwards, who returned to domestic competition this season after two years in the World Supersport Challenge, currently sits 12th in the premier-class Superbike standings after the opening two rounds.

“To all my fans, sponsors and supporters, I’m sorry to let you know that I won’t be taking part in this weekend’s ASBK round three,” said Edwards. “After building in the first two rounds and making good progress with the Motoschool team and machine, unfortunately our R1 isn’t ready to line up on the grid this weekend.

“This is something that is out of my control, so it is disappointing to say the least – but I will be back. Best of luck to all the Motoschool 300 team on race weekend. A big thank you to all my supporters and sponsors for your continued support.”

After finishing an impressive 10th on debut with the team at Phillip Island and then claiming 11th overall under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park, Edwards’ next scheduled appearance will instead come at Morgan Park Raceway from June 13-15.
